Tameside and Glossop

Tameside

Tameside and Glossop is a metropolitan borough of Greater Manchester named after the River Tame, which flows through the borough and spans the towns of Ashton-under-Lyne, Audenshaw, Denton, Droylsden, Dukinfield, Hyde, Mossley, Stalybridge and Longdendale.

Tameside and Glossop is 4 miles east of Manchester city centre and borders High Peak in Derbyshire to the east, the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham to the north and the Metropolitan Borough of Stockport to the south.

NHS Tameside and Glossop Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) exists to improve the health care of the local population. We utilise the knowledge of our GPs and their practice teams to improve the way that local health services are currently delivered and to help our patients to make full use of the services that are available.
