An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as part of the Better Health MCR Primary Care Network, with people with learning disabilities and autism, on a innovative project to improve their uptake of national cancer and non-cancer screening offers, and adult immunisation programmes.

To achieve this, we continue to build our network team bringing together a service that puts the wellbeing of patients at the heart of what we do.
The Better Health MCR PCN, which is made up of three practices:
- The Robert Darbishire Practice
- New Bank Health Centre
- The Whitswood Practice

The role of Screening and Immunisation Nurse – Learning Disabilities and Autism contributes to the core work of the PCN in working with our partners to reduce inequalities.
You will have excellent communication and people skills, experience of working with the public and a commitment to give a good service to a diverse population.
A passion for empowering and reducing health inequalities for people with learning disabilities and autism. A responsive, creative team-based approach to meeting the needs of a deprived and ethnically diverse inner city population are essential.
In-house training and support will be provided to develop the necessary skills and to achieve qualification in this field (currently health and social care apprenticeship).
