We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, visionary, experienced and competent manager to lead and manage our Practice.
The Junction Alkrington Surgery is a GP Practice providing primary care services to a patient population of 8500 patients across two practice sites in close proximity. We are a friendly and supportive training Practice with 3 Partners, 2 salaried GPs and 2 Junior doctors. We are dedicated to providing the highest standard of care to their patients and are supported by an excellent team of Nurses, Health Care Assistants, Receptionists and administrative staff. The role is supported by other management roles.
We are part of the Middleton Primary Care Network and work with other Allied Healthcare professionals within the PCN team.
The Practice is rated as Good by the Care Quality Commission.
We are looking for a Practice Manager who will take responsibility for the safe, efficient and effective management of the Practice and work closely with the Partners to ensure that the Practice meets its agreed aims and objectives.
You will lead the finance and operational management within the Practice, including strategic planning, income and expenditure, patient service delivery including handling complaints, human resources, information technology, clinical governance, quality and performance management, Health and safety and CQC compliance.
You will also be expected to engage with the Primary Care Network.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. We are looking for someone with a positive ‘can do’ attitude who relishes the challenge of managing within the ever-changing NHS primary care scene, with passion, integrity and initiative.
In this multi-faceted role, you will need to be able to show competencies in various aspects of business and human resource management, including creating and developing initiatives, building effective team relationships and implementing change within a practice.
Previous experience in NHS primary care Practice Management would be advantageous.
Strong IT skills are essential, with a vision to embrace and implement new technologies to drive change.
