We are recruiting an experienced and enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician to join our medicines team and work closely with our Clinical Pharmacist. You will be responsible for the delivery of medicines optimisation, management change programmes and activities in General Practice to reduce medication waste, increase cost effective prescribing and increase patient safety.
Main duties of the job
Working as part of our multidisciplinary team supporting the practice pharmacist to ensure the effective and efficient use of medicines.
To help patients get the best from their medicines in agreement with approved protocols, improve repeat prescribing processes, promote the use of repeat dispensing, minimise clinical risk and reduce medicines waste.
To support the pharmacist by preparing and delivering performance reports/briefings for the practice.
Contributing to the development and implementation of patient medication changes and supporting technical medication reviews.
Providing advice and support to patients regarding improved medicines compliance and assisting in the management of high-risk drug monitoring.
