Nurse Training Pod Band 7, Salford and Trafford Local Medical Committee

Flexible hours over 2 sessions per week (7.5hrs)

The role will play a key part in the ensuring the continued delivery of excellent care in the community, ensuring every HCSW, Nursing Associate, Trainee Practice nurse is confident and competent in their ability to work in a person centred, compassionate way.

Working on a sessional basis, the Nurse Trainer will be available to support Trafford’s primary care workforce to gain competence to deliver the Long-Term Condition clinics and management, cytology and immunisation programmes across general practice according to their role.

As an experienced trainer the role will be responsible for evaluating the needs and current practices and creating and delivering a training development plan complete with materials, tutorials, instructions, and learning resources and guides as needed.

You will also play a role in support of the reduction of rejected cervical smears across Trafford Practices making it a ‘Never Event’. This includes supporting the dissemination of the rejected sample policy, reviewing the locality data, supporting quality improvement initiatives and providing practical support for the Trafford Practice smear takers.
