Nurse Associate, Mark Street Surgery, Rochdale

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Nurse Associate to join us at a busy surgery in Rochdale. Mark Street Surgery is a well-established General Medical Practice located in Rochdale, Lancashire. The position is full time, 37.5 hours per week.

Mark Street Surgery is a forward-thinking and well-respected teaching and training practice. You would be joining our exceptionally hard-working team and be at the heart of service delivery. Ideally, you will have at some experience in general practice or a primary care environment.

Working under the direct supervision of your clinical lead, working alongside the practice nurse team, in accordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols, the nurse associate will assist the practice clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care.

This includes a number of clinical roles, including:

  • Phlebotomy
  • Health checks
  • Assisting with Chronic Disease Management/LTC/ Minor surgery/Contraception clinics, cytology and immunisations
  • Blood Pressure Monitoring
  • Assisting with Infection Control
  • New Patient Health Checks
  • Assisting in minor surgery
  • Urinalysis
  • Assisting with stock checks/rotation and ordering
  • ECG’s
  • Knowledge of assisting GP with minor surgery and other LTC clinics
