Salford is directly west of Manchester city centre in a meander of the River Irwell, which forms part of its boundary with Manchester. Salford is home to the University of Salford, the world’s first free public library and the first street to be lit by gas. Salford’s MediaCityUK became the headquarters of CBBC and BBC Sport in 2011, joined by ITV Granada in 2013
Foundation course in General Practice Nursing
The Foundation course in General Practice Nursing at the University of Salford is specifically designed for NMC registered nurses who are either newly registered and/or newly employed in general practice or wish to develop their skills and progress their career within primary care.
Physician Associate support funding
GP practices employing a Physician Associate (PA) on a 12 month preceptorship in primary care can claim up to £5,000 worth of Physician Associate support funding. This is a national offer available from Health Education England (HEE) that is valid until 31st March 2021.
